How it works
On the last Friday of every month, Brain to Books hosts a word war where writers are invited to get right down to the hot topics of today’s publishing world. Go head to head and defend your views. But the reader decides…
Voting is hosted on Facebook where readers can tune in and vote for their side or engage in the debate! Tune in or catch the next debate!
The next Writing Wars is…
TODAY! 24 June 2016 11:00 AM EDT
29 July 2016 AT 11:00 AM EST
Writing Wars: Book Reviews: Helpful or hurtful? Good or evil?
What does Writing Wars entail?
Authors or readers who want to participate contact me telling me which side they want to argue. I have two slots available per side. At 30 minutes prior to air time, I send out the join link. I usually open contact prior to open communications between myself and the word warriors. At 11:00 AM EST we go live. Each individual gets 10 minutes to argue their point… with friendly, though passionate rebuttals flying back. I treat this very much like a boxing match. I take questions as they come in, read comments, and—if someone is wanting to jump in to join—we have time for that too.
Become a Word Warrior
We are in need of Word Warriors! This will air on 24 June 2016 at 11:00 AM EST. If you wish to join this battle, fill out the form below. We need 2 to 4 warriors.
Writing Wars is a formal, though heated argument that takes place live on YouTube and Google Hangouts on the last Friday of every month at 11:00 AM EST! Two to five authors, readers, and/or writers come together to argue some of the hottest points in the writing and publishing worlds. And viewers vote for the winners on Facebook!
