From Brain to Books to Paperback Part #1
Published on: Jun 1, 2015

Welcome, dear guest!

Want to self-publish, but have no idea what to do? Today is the day following my eBook release date and I am now working on the paperback of Dolor and Shadow! I have decided to record every step of this process so you see what goes into CreateSpace and how it works. “From Brain to Books to Paperback” is an ongoing series that reveals the process behind CreateSpace, Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), KDP Select, and Smashwords. When I am done, you will see how each platform compares and what each step entails.

In addition, I will be sharing financial information and royalties to show you how each pays out. This process is as new to me now as it is to you, so we will be learning together! 🙂

I just uploaded Dolor and Shadow to CreateSpace, which will be providing the paperback! It is 1 June 2015. I have no idea how long this will take, but I am recording every step of the process here.

I have uploaded the information and am waiting for the Proof to arrive. “The Proof” is publishing talk for the first physical paperback copy of the book. The purpose of the Proof is to go through the book looking for errors that need correcting. I have no idea how long it will take CreateSpace to get the Proof to me.

In the meantime, I ordered samples of their cover in matte and gloss finish so I can compare. I will let you know once I receive the Proof!

Welcome to “From Brain to Books to Paperback.” This is Part #1. Part #2 covers the first part of the process required to get started with CreateSpace.
