#B2BCYCON Memo 2 May 2016

This memo was sent to all who volunteered before 2 May 2016.

You are receiving this email because you volunteered for the 2017 Brain to Books Cyber Convention! Welcome! And thank you! We are currently looking through the forms and will soon be assigning positions.

Please note: If you have a company of your own and are wanting to partner with Brain to Books for the Convention, you need to contact Angela B. Chrysler directly at [email protected]

Some things are in order before we begin.

PART #1 – Our First Meeting

1 – We need to organize a meeting with all of you. With 40+ people spanned across the globe, we will not be able to organize a time and date to accommodate everyone’s schedule. As a result, a time and date will be selected. You will be contacted. If you can make it, great! If you can not, you will be responsible for following up with the videos and the decision made. You will receive the link, the information, and a newsletter summarizing anything you may have missed.

So you know, all meetings will be recorded live so those who can make it, can participate, and those who missed it can go back and watch.

All videos will be recorded through Google Hangouts and uploaded to YouTube. We can only have 8 people signed in to the discussion. But 8 people is still too much. Therefore, 4 to 6 people will be selected for the discussion. There will be a Q&A available.

If you want to participate in the discussion, and were not selected to be in the live video feed, you must post your comments in the Brain to Books forums before or during the video discussion.  Here is where part 2 begins…

IMPORTANT NOTE: ALL COMMENTS LEFT ON YOUTUBE OR GOOGLE+ WILL NOT BE SEEN. IF YOU WANT YOUR COMMENT TO BE SEEN DURING THE CONVERSATION, YOU MUST POST IN THE BRAIN TO BOOKS FORUMS. The link will be provided to you prior to the meeting.

PART #2 – Brain to Books Forums

The Brain to Books forums are up and SHOULD be running, but we need them tested. I need everyone to go here and “sound off.”

Why is this important?

I use WordPress, but not everyone does. The WordPress forum I use comes installed with a wordpress sign in, which stinks if you are not registered with WordPress. As a result, we have installed a plugin to allow Twitter and Facebook sign in. But we don’t know if it works. Your first assignment as volunteers? Test the forums!

I need you to go to the forums (here is the link again 🙂  https://braintobooks.com/get-involved/?view=thread&id=14#postid-14 ), sign in with a social media account—NOT WORDPRESS—then comment on the thread. Please state which social media platform you used to login.

VERY IMPORTANT: IF YOU CAN NOT LOGIN WITH ANY SOCIAL MEDIA, RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL IMMEDIATELY.

For now, no meeting date has been selected. All these memos will be posted in the Brain to Books Blog here: https://braintobooks.com/blog/
