About Brain to Books
Brain to Books is an author-made idea formed by Angela B. Chrysler to help “aspiring authors.” Ms. Chrysler developed Brain to Books with one goal in mind: to deliver knowledge, marketing, and events to authors at an affordable cost.
In 2015, Ms. Chrysler used the Brain to Books brand and Social Media to launch the first ever Brain to Books Cyber Convention and Book Expo, or #B2BCyCon for short. In 2016, #B2BCyCon returned, uniting 800 readers and authors from 18 countries. Plans are already in motion for the 3rd annual 2017 Brain to Books Cyber Convention. In the meantime, she offers classes, articles, advice, and promo to those who need it most.
Building Brain to Books
On 15 October 2014, six months prior to her first publication, Ms. Chrysler conceived an idea for Brain to Books, an online beginner’s manual for authors that revealed the publication process from start to finish. What began as an online journal intent on exposing the ins and outs of traditional publishing, evolved into a massive undertaking into the world of independent publishing. In 2015, and with a change of direction, Ms. Chrysler had built a following of authors, bloggers, and readers. April 2015, Ms. Chrysler united those authors with the Brain to Books Cyber Convention and Book Expo (then entitled the “Author Cyber Convention”). Three months later, she launched the Indie Pride Day Book Blast, and the Brain to Books Blog Tour.
In 2016, Ms. Chrysler returned with the Brain to Books Cyber Convention or #B2BCyCon growing her following 500%.
Built for authors, by authors who have fought the battle of “discoverability” (Yes…that is a real word). Brain to Books takes the guess work and complications out of indie publication and makes the road less traveled a little less bumpy for those paving the way. Brain to Books is the first to unite indie authors under a new line of marketing for the generation of authors who are venturing forth, cutting their way through a world unexplored in hopes to find an alternative to Traditional Publishing. With Brain to Books, you are part of the marketing process. Brain to Books doesn’t just market for you, we teach you how so you can go on marketing when our job is done.
Angela B. Chrysler is a writer, logician, philosopher, and die-hard nerd who studies theology, historical linguistics, music composition, and medieval European history in New York with a dry sense of humor and an unusual sense of sarcasm. She lives in a garden with her family and cats.
Growing up without books, Ms. Chrysler spent her early life reading the encyclopedia for fun. By mid-teens, she gained access to her school library, and began working her way through the Great Books. She spent many an afternoon in an old opera house turned library in the town where she grew up. There, she found her passion for reading, writing, and theater through the words of Hugo, Shakespeare, Tennyson, and Poe. The words of Leroux and Mary Shelley went on to shape her passion for the romantic 18th century macabre she embraces today.
As early as fifteen, Ms. Chrysler embraced philosophy and spent the majority of her life educating herself. At seventeen, she turned her avid reading of the encyclopedia to the Great Books. Through ancient texts, philosophical writings, and Classical Literature, Ms. Chrysler continued the exploration of “self” that began as a teenager in hopes to better understand the world and the two decades of trauma she endured. She is still working hard toward that goal. Today, her philosophies and knowledge inspires her worlds of fantasy while her personal challenges have inspired her to help increase awareness for a number of topics including, trauma, PTSD, BPD, bipolar, animal abuse, domestic violence, and informed/involved parenting.
